THE GRANT PROCESS
Grant Nomination Process
We are focused on recently housed individuals and families.
Our grant process is simple. Community partners, case workers, and advocates can nominate individuals, or an applicant can nominate themselves.
A short form is required describing the space, what feels missing, and how a grant could help. Approved grantees will be matched with a grant tier and paired with someone from our volunteer network.
Over time, we will scale to serve more people, while always keeping the human touch at the heart of what we do.
Grants
Our grants provide key furnishings and home essentials—not cash. Each one begins with a conversation about more than what a household needs. We ask how the people who live there want their home to feel: peaceful, joyful, safe, hopeful, or truly their own.
We visit the home, listen closely, and develop a personalized plan for the space. Together, we select furnishings, lighting, rugs, bedding, art, plants, and meaningful details that reflect the individual or family—their personalities, their stories, and the life they are building.
Whenever possible, our team brings everything together in the home, arranging and installing each element with care. Because this work is not simply about decorating or delivering household items. It is about creating an emotional connection to home—a sense of comfort, pride, dignity, and belonging that can help people feel more rooted in their lives and hopeful about what comes next.
